Supervision for Coaches
What is Supervision for Coaches?
“Coaching supervision is a formal and protected time for facilitating a coach’s in-depth reflection on their practice with a Coaching Supervisor. Supervision offers a confidential framework within a collaborative working relationship in which the practice, tasks, process and challenges of the coaching work can be explored. The primary aim of supervision is to enable the coach to gain ethical competency, confidence and creativity so as to ensure best possible service to the coaching clients. Supervision is not a ‘policing’ role, but rather a trusting and collegial professional relationship.” Association for Coaching
I offer Coach Supervision either 1-1 or in small groups.
Group supervision is usually 8 sessions over a year with the same group of coaches and we explore any coaching challenges that the group brings to the sessions as well as setting goals for the coaches development and bringing in accountability.
1-1 Supervision is tailored to the individual coach and usually coaches will have a session once every six weeks or so depending on the regularity of their practice and on the challenges they are facing i.e. more challenging clients may mean a coach wants more frequent sessions, less clients may mean less frequent sessions.
Sessions are usually an hour long and either via Zoom or in person subject to the location.
